988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline
Call or text 988, or chat online, to reach a trained crisis counselor. Available 24/7/365. Conversations are free and confidential. Text and chat are also available in Spanish, and there are options for deaf and hard of hearing callers.

Free information and referral service run by the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Monday to Friday, 10am to 10pm Eastern. You can also text the word helpline to 62640. It is not a crisis line, so use 988 in an emergency.

Pays for 4 to 12 therapy sessions for Black women and nonbinary people anywhere in the United States. The signup form opens quarterly and replies take four to six weeks, so join the waitlist when it is closed.
