Black Doctors is free to read and free for clinicians to list on. We cover our costs through labeled partner links and a small number of paid features for clinicians, described here in full. There is no display advertising on this site.

Affiliate links

Black Doctors earns a commission when you sign up with a partner through a link marked Sponsored. It never affects who is listed. Paid placement is always labeled Featured or Sponsored. This is the sentence shown beside every Sponsored unit and in the footer of every page.

Partners

We list our affiliate partners here as they go live. There are no live affiliate partners on Black Doctors yet.

Featured

Featured is paid placement within the listings that already qualify to be here. Paying for Featured does not add anyone to the directory who would not otherwise qualify, and it never removes or lowers a clinician who has not paid. A Featured badge reads "Featured · paid placement" everywhere it appears.

No display advertising

Black Doctors carries no banner or display advertising. What you see is either a listing, a labeled partner option, or a labeled Featured placement. Nothing else is for sale on the page.

The 988 rule

Any paid unit on a mental health page is preceded by a crisis notice: if you are in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), or call 911. That notice, including the version of it on the home page, always comes before the paid unit, never after.
