JOB SUMMARY:Performs housekeeping duties as designated to ensure a safe environment by AORN Standards.Works with surgical team to move large equipment and supplies into the OR to assist in set up.Assists with opening sterile supplies under the direction of the surgical team.Assists in instrument cleaning and sterilization under the direction of the surgical team.Works with the surgical team to remove dirty instruments, suction canisters and other items as required. Assists the patient care team to ensure smooth operations and focus on customer service.Serves the population from pediatric to geriatric as defined in Structure Standards.

Education & Training:High School diploma or equivalent.Nursing Assistant Certification in the State of Maryland preferred.

Work Orientation & Experience:Previous experience as Nursing Assistant in hospital and/or operating room. Computer experience preferred.BCLS certification required.
