Network Operations Specialist II XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO). MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:Join a team of Network Operations Specialists in the maintenance of the MTCs network infrastructureOperate and maintain Cisco network equipment to include routers, layer 2/3 switches, Unified Call Manager (CUCM), and VoIPsDeploy, operate, maintain, implement security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and encryption (Taclane)Implement knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologiesConduct periodic auditing and compliancy checks to assess vulnerabilities of the network infrastructureReceive and interpret vulnerability scans to remediate network vulnerabilitiesSafeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosureParticipates in special projects and performs additional duties as required to support customer requirements. WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education: HS DiplomaExperience: 2+ years of related experience, Military and MTC experience preferredRequired Skills and Abilities:Network systems management methods, including end-to-end systems performance monitoring.Network architecture and topology, including transmissions protocols, broadcastings, switching, control, and management.Additional Experience: Windows OS/s: Server/Windows, DA/NETCOM Risk Management Framework, particularly RMF 2.0; DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) process; hypervisor and virtual machines; familiarity and utilization of SolarWinds network management suite or similar NPM/NCM solution.Certifications:IAT-II baseline certification IAW former DoDD 8570.01-M: Security+CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA-Security;Position complies with all DoD, DA, and company training requirements IAW Government policy, DoD 8140 IA Workforce Improvement Program, Army Regulations, and company and site policies.Security Clearance: Secret required to startLocation: Fort Stewart, GA Mission Training Complex. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night, swing, or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%).
