DevOps/OpenShift Systems Engineer
NASA Consolidated Applications Platform Services (NCAPS) contract is searching for a DevOps Systems Engineer supporting the modernization and transformation of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The candidate will be part of a team where complex problem solving, and communication skills are critical to success. Youll Bring These QualificationsO&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environmentsOpenShift Command Line Interface: All commands-login, project creations (oc new-project), app deployment (oc new - app), expolos (oc expose), logs/debug (oc rsh/logs), and admin tasks (oc adm policy for RBAC)Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come onlineWork with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet themWork with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutionsSupport data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic StackExperience with platforms such as Kubernetes, EKS, OpenShift or another container orchestration platformExperience with Cloud Computing and Hybrid On-Prem solutionsExperience with Docker or similar container technologyExperience with GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub Enterprise or similar source repository and CI/CD collaboration platformBuilding/compiling Shell scripting, Java, Python or JavaScript applications These Qualifications Would Be Nice to HaveExperience with Argo CD or similar continuous delivery technologyExperience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as code toolTechnical background in Software Development or DevSecOpsExperience with Security/Software Supply Chain scanningExperience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet or similar Configuration Management technologyExperience with Amazon Web ServicesPython, Shell scripting, GitCI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, JenkinsContainer technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in generalAWS Certification (Developer, DevOps, Architect, etc.)Experience with SAFe Agile Methodologies or SAFe certification Education/ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.5-8 years Developer experienceGUI development experience with Java Swing, JavaFX, RESTful API design (JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or ReactJS)Experience with NASA World Wind Java, ATAK, Cesium, Protocol Buffers, Avro, OpenGL/OpenCL, and/or CUDAExperience supporting the NASA Web Services Operational Environment
